Day 1: Cairns to Atherton

Travel Time: 1 hour, 30 minutes

Distance: 79km

The first leg of this incredible Cairns to Karumba road trip has you starting off in Cairns where the Apollo Camper branch is conveniently located, making picking up your campervan easy and stress-free.

Day 2: Atherton to Undara 

Travel Time: 2 hours, 15 minutes

Distance: 190km

From Atherton it’s then on to Undara, which promises a delightful drive through Queensland's captivating landscapes.

Along the way, make sure to stop at the Herberton Historic Village, a living history museum that takes you back in time. Plus, while you’re here be sure to stroll through the town’s charming streets and immerse yourself in the rich heritage of the region.

One must-visit spot is Einasleigh, a small town where you can step back in time at the historic pub and then enjoy a leisurely stroll along the picturesque Copperfield Gorge. Once you've soaked in the tranquility of Einasleigh, continue your adventure to Croydon.

This quaint outback town is a treasure trove of history and culture, with its heritage buildings and fascinating mining history. While in Croydon, make sure to explore the local attractions and immerse yourself in the laid-back atmosphere of the Australian outback.
