People

Apollo was founded by Gus and Carolyn Trouchet in 1985.  Since 1997 and 1998 respectively, sons Luke Trouchet (CEO) and Karl Trouchet (CFO) expanded the business significantly, initiating international expansion to New Zealand, the USA, Canada and Europe. Apollo remained family owned and operated until November 2016 prior to listing on the Australian Stock Exchange before merging with Tourism Holdings Ltd (thl) in 2022.

Apollo and thl’s branches are situated throughout Australia, New Zealand, the USA, Canada and Europe. All branches are located close to airports or city centres for guest convenience. Our Australian depots are located in Adelaide, Alice Springs, Brisbane, Broome, Cairns, Darwin, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.
