When to visit Victoria

Victoria is a year-round destination, but the best time to set off on a campervan hire Melbourne road trip largely depends on what you want to experience:

  • Spring (September to November) and autumn (March to May) are ideal for mild weather and fewer crowds, making them perfect for outdoor activities and exploring the countryside.

  • Summer in Melbourne and the surroundings (December to February) is great for enjoying the rivers and beaches but be prepared for higher temperatures and more tourists.

  • Winter (June to August) offers a quieter experience with cooler weather, ideal for those who enjoy a cozy atmosphere and fewer crowds.
